Property Description Method #4

 

      I. The "Description Method 4"  Tab

            This detailed property description method is laid out in multiple data-filled columns. You can customize the description buttons in the database. Certain types of elements are displayed by default: buttons reflect this default selection. 

 

      I.A The "Usual Components" Sub-Tab

  The first (1) column displays the Types of element. 
  The second (2) column displays the Identifiers.   
  The third (3) column displays the Base Layers.  
  The fourth (4) column displays the Coatings
  The fifth (5) column displays the Colors.  

The working principle for data entry through this method is the following:

The checkbox at the beginning of the line defines whether the described item is or not to be taken into accound when the item's addition is executed.

This button allows you to add the component/description into the description field.

this button allows you to, instead, substitute a selected line in the field with the new component/description.

The green arrows allow you to sort an element (move an element up/down the confirmed descriptions' list).  
 

The "Type" drop-down menu and/or quick buttons allow you to select the type of item to be described. 

The "Identifier" drop-down menu and/or quick buttons allow you to select the element's identifier. Note that if you select multiple identifiers in this field, then multiple elements will be created in the same unit. 

The quick buttons allow to create multiple elements of the same type with ease.

The "Substrate" drop-down menu and/or quick buttons allow you to select the type of substrate of the element.

The "Coating" drop-down menu and/or quick buttons allow you to select the type of substrate coating.

The "Color" drop-down menu and/or quick buttons allow you to select the color of the base layer or coating.


Please note that all drop-down menus are also freely editable as text fields.

You will notice that the buttons with the substrates or the most common coatings are displayed above the drop-down menus (these buttons are configurable via the menu Tools / Change databases / Drop-down menus / Description).

        

       I.The Additional Components Buttons   

This method of description consists of multiple lines. Certain types of elements are selected by default: the buttons reflect this default selection.

     Footer Section


This section lists the items that were added in your description.

 The

button allows you to add all the lines that have been checked in the description.

To modify a component, please double click on the desired element from the list, you will access the window below which will allows you to make your changes.

After making your changes, you can either include it in the list by clicking on the "Add to List" button or replace components of the item by clicking on the "Replace the selected line" button.

The arrows allow you to manually sort or relocate an element up/down the list.

The "Reset" button allows you to start over.

The "Options" button gives you access to the Software Settings area pertaining to the description tool.

The "Same as..." allows you to select template room.

The "Copy to..." button allows you to keep the description when you select a new room on the left side. When this function is activated the button turns blue.

The "Save Template" button lets you save the items of the room in a template.

The "Load Template" button allows you to load a model of items you'd previously recorded.

The "Save Description" button allows you to save your items in the selected room on the left side. You will notice a piece that includes elements described now appears in pink in the parts list.

The "Clear once added" checkbox lets you automatically to empty the description when you move from one room to another.

The "Delete Description" button allows you to erase the room's description.

     I.C The "Info/Remarks" Button

This section remains fixed and does not vary when navigating between different sub-tabs (General Components, Decorations, etc...).

The

allows you to add notes in the associated drop-down menu.
 

The "Built-in Furniture" checkbox allows you to specify there is any furniture that could not be moved in the inspection report.

The "Hollow Wall" checkbox allows you to specify if something prevents you from controlling the wall.

The "Adhesive Flooring" checkbox allows you to specify that you do not control the type of soil which the flooring was glued.

 
By selecting a remark in the menu, it is automatically added to the field below. Note that you can manually add your comments as a text field.
